Section 3 - Canada's Natural Vegetation Regions
Canada's vegetation is diverse - from the Carolinian Forests of Southern Ontario, to the Tundra of the Far North, to the Temperate Rainforests of the West Coast, to the hard trees of the East Coast.
1 Print the worksheet and then watch the video.
2 Follow these steps to create a slide show about Canada's vegetation regions.
  1. Create a title slide. Do you need help with Corel Presentations?
  2. Create a slide for each vegetation region, so you have a total of eight slides. The vegetation regions are:
    1. Tundra
    2. Boreal / Taiga Forest
    3. Grassland
    4. West Coast Forest
    5. Broad Leaf Forest
    6. Mixed Forest
    7. Cordilleran Forest
    8. Parkland
  3. Use Google to find pictures and information for each vegetation region.
  4. Each slide must have a title.
  5. Each slide must have a picture of a plant found in the region.
  6. Each slide must have a brief description of the vegetation region.
  7. Show your teacher your presentation.
3 Check over your work. Make sure you've completed all parts of this lesson before you hand it in to your teacher. Check your title page for a list of everything that needs to be handed in.
