CGC1P :: Unit 4 Lesson 2
Section 3 - Canada's Connections With Its Trading Partners
In addition to trade, the United States and our other trading partners affect Canada in many other ways, such as through immigration, culture, technology, and tourism. We can see the size and trends of many of these interactions reflected in some of the tables in Canadian Statistics. Click the link below to download the research worksheet.
1 Print the Canada's Connections With Its Trading Partners worksheet.
2 Use these data tables to complete the worksheet:

Television viewing by type of programme

Immigrant population by place of birth

Travel by Canadians to foreign countries
3 Now that you have some practice using Statistics Canada data tables, it's time to search for your own data table. Print Choose Your Own Data Table.
4 Use the Statistics Canada Search Page to find a data table of your choice. Use the information in your data table to complete the worksheet. If you can't find a good table try searching for "United States".
5 At this point you should have done research on four data tables. Three were assigned and one was your choice. Now its time to use all that information to write a three point, three proof paragraph.

First, complete the Three Point, Three Proof Paragraph Organizer.
6 Now write your paragraph using a word processor.
